As the Congress approaches, we will publish the final version of the interactive, navigable programme on this page.

The provisional programme of the 36th Hegel Global International Congress is now available!

Session Recording

The session recordings will serve archival purposes only, for the preservation of the Congress materials. Speakers who do not wish to take part in the recordings may inform the Room Tutors directly before the start of their presentation. No further communication to the Organizing Committee is necessary.

The walking time from the Department of Philosophy, Communication, and Performing Arts (FilCoSpe) to the Department of Law is 15 minutes.
For this reason, we recommend that speakers involved in the morning sessions of September 2nd, held at the Department of Law premises, complete their Congress registration at the Department of Philosophy, Communication, and Performing Arts on September 1st.
Registration of speaking participants is not mandatory for access to the lecture halls, but it is strongly recommended.

Hegel rediscovered: new sources on Hegelian Philosophy

We hope you enjoy exploring the Hegel Global programme, and we invite you to check whether you have been assigned as a chair. Please keep in mind that, for organisational reasons, some changes may still occur. We therefore encourage you to check future versions as they are uploaded.

CLARIFICATIONS ON THE ROLE OF CHAIR:

The Chair’s task is primarily to ensure that time limits are respected and to animate the discussion, encouraging exchange among participants. No further specific activities or communications are required from speakers. In particular:

  • The introductions the Chair is required to give are very brief, and as a rule the Chair does not need to contact speakers in advance or provide them with any particular information.
  • The Chair simply gives a short introduction to each talk, stating the title of the contribution and the speaker’s affiliation or place of origin.
  • The most important aspect of the role is moderating the session and the final discussion. The available time is limited, and it is important to strictly respect the planned duration of each talk: about 20 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for discussion, for a total of 30 minutes per speaker. Otherwise, there is a risk of taking time away from the rest of the programme.
  • In the event that one of the session’s speakers is absent, the schedule for the other talks must under no circumstances be changed.
