CALL FOR BOOK PRESENTATIONS

JANUARY 11th, 2026 - JANUARY 25th, 2026

We are pleased to announce the following Call for Book Presentations, which will be part of the official program of the XXXVI International Hegel Congress, “Hegel Global”, to be held from September 1 to 4, 2026 at Roma Tre University.

The Organizing Committee of the Hegel Congress invites proposals for book presentations to be included in the conference program. The call will open on January 11, 2026, and proposals must be submitted no later than January 25, 2026.
The call is open to monographs and edited volumes published in 2025 or 2026 that deal with Hegel’s philosophy or the Hegelian tradition, broadly understood, including reception history and critical engagements.
Each book presentation will have a maximum duration of 60 minutes and may include the author or editor, and one or two discussants.
The precise internal organization of the session (presentation time, responses, discussion) is left to the proposers, within the overall time limit.

Proposals should include:
  • title of the book,
  • author/editor(s),
  • year of publication,
  • short description of the book (approx. 300–500 words),
  • names and affiliations of the presenter(s) and discussant(s).
Proposals should be submitted to the official conference email address:
hegelglobal@hegelnow.org
Please note that all participants in book presentation sessions (authors, editors, and discussants) must be registered for the Hegel Congress.

The selection will be made by the Organizing Committee, taking into account the relevance of the publication to the conference theme and the overall balance of the program.
